Representative Self Portrait

In 2023 I created my representative self portrait. My self portrait is more representative of my family and my childhood than it is a literal depiction of me. I grew up in Kentucky, where all of my family lives. When I think of my childhood I think of quilts, cornbread, antiques, my mom sewing, basil, chickens etc. This self portrait is a quilt of all of my most sentimental memories. The things that really make me who I am. Each detail is laden with meaning that relates back to my family and home. It is done fully in adobe Illustrator.
